The Congo! Kinshasa

Ever been to the Congo???? Kinshasa to be exact?? I have and what an experience!! This was the view out of my first hotel. I say first because the Congo is a French speaking country and unfortunately I do not have a lot of French in my vocabulary! This hotel was not very english speaking friendly, which is a shame as it is a beautiful hotel. But I did move and really enjoyed my time here!
This gives life to Robocop!! It is a fully functioning robo traffic cop in Kinshasa!! It was awesome to see!! It really reminded me of Japan although I didn’t see anything like this here I did see mechanical road signs in Japan!!!
This was call a croque hawaiian!! lol A grilled ham and cheese with a slice of pineapple! It was actually better than I thought it was going to be, but not something I considered ordering again!
So the Congo has a lot of interesting wildlife and flora to see! Some is quite beautiful!!
A local Thai restaurant had this in their dinning area! The name of the restaurant is Carpe Diem and had surprisingly really good Thai food!!!
Another picture of the Congo River!!

This is the Baobab Tree of Kenya also know as the Tree of Life. It is found on the East Coast of Kenya. This tree is on of the largest, they can get up to 500 years old. Every part of the tree has been used from everything from food to medicine. It is also considered a super food!
